The most significant part of the Latvian Railway History Museum’s Collection is, without a doubt, the rolling stock: locomotives, carriages, and other railway vehicles. However, the museum’s collection comprises much more than just the exhibits seen on the railway tracks.
There are 20,000 items in the museum’s storage: photographs, documents, maps, train schedules, uniforms, and station equipment. They serve as diverse testimonies of the history of railways in Latvia since the end of the 19th century, being continuously updated and used in research and the museum’s exhibitions.
